- General Information
Safe Hands First Aid operates in compliance with provincial and national standards for first aid training. We are committed to providing high-quality, accessible training programs. The content and certifications provided through our services adhere to industry guidelines and standards, including those established by recognized organizations like the Canadian Red Cross.
- Eligibility
- Participants must meet the minimum age requirement specified for each course. For babysitting and youth-oriented courses, a parent or guardian’s consent may be required for participants under 18 years old.
- Courses are open to individuals, groups, and organizations, subject to availability and prerequisites.
- Registration and Payment
- Registration Process: Course registration must be completed through our official website, by phone or email.
- Payment: Full payment is required at the time of registration to secure your spot in the course.
- Refund Policy: Refunds are available for cancellations made at least 7 business days before the course start date. A cancellation fee may apply. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations within 48h business days of the course date.
- Course Cancellation or Rescheduling
- Safe Hands First Aid reserves the right to cancel or reschedule courses due to unforeseen circumstances, including insufficient enrolment, instructor unavailability, or emergencies.
- Participants will be notified as soon as possible in the event of a cancellation. In such cases, participants may choose to reschedule their course or receive a full refund.
- Any course materials provided prior to the cancellation must be returned to the FirstAid Business or may be subject to a deduction from the refund amount.
- Rescheduling within 7 days of the training date may incur a rescheduling fee of $25per student.
- Certification
- Certification is granted upon successful completion of the course, including passing any required assessments.
- Certifications are valid for the duration specified by the certifying authority (e.g. 3 years).
- Replacement certificates may be requested if the original is lost or damaged.
- Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to:
- Treat instructors and fellow participants with respect.
- Follow all safety guidelines during training sessions.
- Notify instructors of any medical conditions or limitations that may affect participation.
Failure to adhere to these standards may result in removal from the course without a refund.
- Intellectual Property
- All training materials, including manuals, presentations, and online content, are the intellectual property of Safe Hands First Aid.
- Materials provided during the course are for personal use only and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission.
- Limitation of Liability
Safe Hands First Aid and its instructors are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage incurred during or after the completion of training, except in cases of proven negligence.
- Privacy Policy
We are committed to protecting your personal information. Any data collected during registration or participation will be used solely for administrative purposes and will not be shared without your consent, except as required by law.
- Changes to Terms and Conditions
Safe Hands First Aid reserves the right to update or modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated through our website or other official channels. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
